Now that you're here....

Stay awhile! Lets get to know each other. Or should I say we would like you to get to know us better! We want you to know how it all started. And I guess that to do that you would have to go back 22 years to when we first met. We first met 22 years ago when we were both pregnant with our third kids. We now both have four kids and we a both mothers to them all. We are truly the best of friends and have built that friendship through years of fun times, hard times, love and laughter!
When we started out, we just enjoyed being creative in our homes. About 12 years ago, we began by reupholstering a few arm chairs in our homes. That led to actually building furniture. Teresa has a knack with the power tools. We slowly learned it was easier to find older pieces to refinish. After completely filling both of our houses with our creations, we started taking side jobs for friends. It quickly became our passion and we took the plunge into a business together. We have had great success and have many repeat clients! We truly love what we do! The excitement comes from learning to improve upon the look of each new piece we create. We are constantly learning new techniques and refining what we do. Our love of a good challenge keeps our business interesting and fresh. Every completed piece ends with, "That's my favorite yet!".. We love what we do!! Did you know that we do custom orders? We'd have to say that 3/4 of our business is doing custom furniture designs for clients outside of our retail business. Most people are at a loss as to what to do with a piece of furniture that they have recently acquired with an idea in mind, or they have had something they love, but just want to give a new look to. We try to meet with the owners, get a first hand look at their piece and discuss colors and/or repairing options. We have experience with stripping and reupholstering antique couches, love seats and chairs, adding new stained or painted wood tops to dressers, desks and dining room tables with water or weather damage, and painting, staining and repairing many aged pieces. We have also redesigned pieces that need a new look.. Adding drawers, shelves or increasing the size of the original~ so many options! Why throw away if you can redesign! We have limitless color options and work with a number of finishing mediums. We love a good challenge! We have also given kitchen cabinets and built ins a new life!! Fourth On The Left is really our fifth child. We love it! We are working hard to turn it into something amazing. We have high hopes for this little endevour of ours. The greatest challenge is trying to balance our families, careers and our love of Fourthontheleft~ we take each job as if it might be our last~ we know our name is on every piece and always try to finish well! Our clients are excited and most become repeat customers! We'd like to grow old, continue what we are doing and if it keeps us outta trouble then it's all good! So have you stopped by to see us recently? Do you know where we are? Well, we have had several different locations over the last few years. Currently we both have full time family responsibilities and jobs outside of fourthontheleft. With a greater demand for custom designs, we are concentrating all of our energy into one location to showcase our pieces. We are located at 734 Main Street,in the Antique Mall in Ramona. Our booth is...can you guess it??? Fourth on the left. Litterally! So stop in and see our new stuff. We are always changing, always evolving, and always always creating! Hope to see you soon!

Welcome!!!

We are so excited to have a new way to touch base with our friends. Lot's of exciting things happening at Fourth On The Left! This last weekend we were at the Carlsbad Street Fair! This is one of our most favorite events. We had a ton of great new items for sale and were so excited at the response to our new items. We work hard to put quality pieces into each show that we do. Carlsbad Street Fair was no exception!
This coming weekend we will be at the Bernardo Winery for their 37th Annual Spring Arts and Crafts Fair. This event is really fun for us. We will be there Saturday and Sunday and we will be bringing a ton of great stuff with us. This is really a great event that we look forward to doing all year long. We love to see all the people throughout the weekend and come on...it's a winery, so obviously we enjoy a glass of wine! So if you are looking for something fun to do please come down and visit us and have a glass of wine. We will be there all weekend and would love to see you.
